The Players’ Charity participated in a heart-warming hand-over with the Jess Foord Foundation, which included a R20 000 donation and 130 survivour packs for women and children.
The Players’ Charity is an initiative created by the professional players in South Africa aimed at contributing to charitable organisations in their communities.
Every year, professional rugby players in South Africa have the opportunity to make donations to worthy causes in their playing communities.
The professional players in Durban chose the Jess Foord Foundation as their preferred charity.
The Jess Foord Foundation (www.jfforg.za) supports rape survivors & does a lot of awareness talks.
Tera Mtembu, Curwin Bosch, Mmzamo Majola, Lukhanyo Am & Tristan Blewett spent some time learning more about what rape survivors go through, hot to help grow rape awareness and become vocal male role models for young men.
In addition to the R20 000 donation on behalf of the professional players in Durban, the guys were on hand to write personal messages and help pack survivor packs for women and children who survive rape.
